Have you ever heard the story of the butterfly that couldn’t fly?

It’s a beautiful metaphor for the transformative power of changing your story.

Once there was a butterfly that was born with wings that wouldn’t open. No matter how hard it tried, it couldn’t fly.

The butterfly felt frustrated, helpless, and stuck. It believed that it was destined to crawl on the ground for the rest of its life.

One day, a wise caterpillar came to the butterfly and said, Your wings are meant to fly. But you must first believe that you can. Your story is holding you back, my friend.

The butterfly was confused. “What do you mean, my story?” it asked.

The caterpillar explained, “Your story is the narrative that you tell yourself about who you are and what you’re capable of. Right now, your story is that you’re a butterfly that can’t fly.

But that’s not the truth. You’re a butterfly that has wings. You just need to change your story to believe that you can use them to soar.

The butterfly was inspired by the caterpillar’s words. It started to imagine itself flying, and with each passing day, it believed a little more.
